What is Fluxion?

Fluxion is an interactive human metabolism simulator designed to help users visualize and explore biochemical systems.

What does Fluxion currently simulate?

Fluxion connects skeletal muscle, liver, red blood cells, and a shared bloodstream. The model includes glycolysis, glycogen metabolism, the TCA cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, gluconeogenesis, the pentose phosphate pathway, fat oxidation, ketogenesis, redox defense, and related transport processes.

Are the simulations scientifically exact?

Fluxion is a reduced-order model designed to make metabolic relationships observable and interactive. It does not attempt to reproduce every molecular process or predict an individual person's physiology.

Where do Fluxion's scientific values come from?

The model uses biochemical literature alongside documented modeling choices needed for a coupled, reduced-order simulation. The Methods page explains individual parameters, initial conditions, and their supporting sources.

Is Fluxion medical software?

No. Fluxion is educational, visualization, and research software. It is not a medical device and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, patient care, or other safety-critical decisions.

Which operating systems are supported?

The current public release supports 64-bit Windows 11 and remains compatible with 64-bit Windows 10. Because Microsoft ended standard Windows 10 support in October 2025, Windows 11 is recommended. macOS support is in preparation, but no release date has been announced.

Can I download Fluxion before purchasing?

Yes. Fluxion launched publicly on October 1, 2026, and anyone in the United States can download the installer. A purchased license key is required to activate and run the software.

What is Fluxion Professional?

Fluxion Professional is the paid, single-user edition of Fluxion offered on this website. Product pages may refer to it simply as Fluxion.

How much does Fluxion cost?

Fluxion Professional costs $1.99 USD as a one-time payment. It is not a subscription. See the purchase page for the current offer and checkout terms.

How many devices can I use?

A single-user license may be activated on up to two personal devices controlled by the licensed user.

Does Fluxion require an internet connection?

Internet access is required for downloading, activation, license validation, updates, and submitting reports. The metabolic simulation itself runs locally on your computer.

Can I save and compare experiments?

Yes. Fluxion can save, organize, favorite, duplicate, import, and export completed simulations. You can compare up to six saved experiments and export comparison data as a CSV file.

How are updates delivered?

Fluxion includes an automatic update system that notifies users once every 24 hours that a new update has been released.

Where can I see what changed between versions?

The Release Notes page describes the current release and links to the complete release history for earlier versions.

Why might Windows show an unfamiliar-publisher warning?

Gunnar BioTechnology is a newly verified software publisher, so Windows or antivirus software may initially show a reputation-based warning. The installer is digitally signed, and its SHA-256 checksum is published on the Download page.

What is the refund policy?
